The second annual Conference on Teaching, Learning & Research will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at UCR Palm Desert.

The conference will open with keynote speaker Diane F. Halpern, Ph.D., who is the dean of social sciences emerita at the Minerva Schools of KGI. Halpern has published hundreds of articles and many books including, "Thought and Knowledge: An Introduction to Critical Thinking" (5th Ed., 2014), "Sex Differences in Cognitive Abilities" (4th ed.), and "Women at the Top: Powerful Leaders Tell Us How to Combine Work and Family" (co-authored with Fanny Cheung).

The conference is hosted by the UCR School of Medicine and is a showcase of student research within our premiere course, the Longitudinal Ambulatory Care Experience (LACE). Medical students will present their Practice Improvement Projects (PIP) chronicling three years of progressive project development.

The conference will also include break-out sessions on teaching and learning throughout the day.
